Colours

Pocket chart

In this case I made this pocket chart game, children could sort name of the colour, picture, and I also made some clothespin with colourful pics.

Paper bags

Did I tell you I am a bit fanatic of paper bags? ;)

They are very cheap and you can do almost everything with them. In this case, I used them to sort and match colours

Colour jars

These are plastic jars with labels. Children can bring from home small colourful objects and sort them in the correct plastic jar

Clothespins

Last year I found these beautiful clothespins in a bargain shop.

I used them with colour cards to match colours and pins

Sorting

Invite children to sort gummies, cookies or cereals by colour

Book of colours

You can use this poem for the book

Orange is an orange,
Yellow is the sun,
Brown is a bear,
Purple is a plum,
Red is an apple,
Green is a tree,
Black is a nice cat

These are pictures from a pair work project I made with my first graders

I printed the questions in a white piece of paper. They had to look for colourful things in magazines and made a poster

English builders is a new serie of language games based on early language skills.
Their colourful illustrations and original activities ensure that children have fun while learning.
English builders not only provide multiple and varied skilled building language experiences, but also they will strengthen school-home bounds. They are suitable for both independent and collaborative work. For fun and enrichment you can connect the themes to other skill areas.
